Silky fabric floral bouquet artistically presented in a small patinated silverplate vase marked on the underside G. WEETON MFG CO WARRANTED with the number 260. Nicely ornate and beaded handles and top edge. It is very decorative and is probably a repurposed sugar dish from a cream and sugar set. The Weeton company operated during the Victorian era (1880-1899) and was based in the Wellington county in Ontario. The Wellington County Museum and Archives has a tea set hallmarked Weeton Mfg Co - Warranted in its collections, the purpose of which is to reflect "the history of the people, places and organizations of Wellington County".
